Residency Guidelines
A Home Built on Safety & Purpose
Azaliya's Home is a shared, Christ-centered home. Guidelines help protect every woman and child in our care and keep the home peaceful, safe, and purposeful.
Residency at Azaliya's Home is a privilege extended with care, not a right. Admission may require an interview and references. Because safety, trust, and structure are essential, residency may be reconsidered or ended if guidelines are not followed or if the home is no longer the right fit.
"Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."
2 Corinthians 3:17
Who We Welcome
Azaliya's Home is open to women and children who meet the following criteria:
Women escaping abusive relationships who need a safe place to stay with their children
Women who are genuinely seeking safety, stability, and a new direction — and are ready to take steps toward that
Mothers with dependent children (priority given to those with younger children)
Women willing to participate in Bible study, prayer, and faith-based encouragement
Women willing to follow house guidelines and engage with the support offered here
Women taking active steps toward employment and stability after the first month of residency
Women willing to contribute toward groceries and household expenses when financially able
For the Safety of All
Because Azaliya's Home is a small home environment — not a clinical facility — we are not equipped to safely support women who:
Are currently using or dependent on drugs or alcohol, or who require medical detox or substance abuse treatment
Have severe behavioral or mental health needs that require clinical or professional care beyond the scope of a small home
Are involved in active criminal activity, or whose circumstances would put other residents at risk
Are engaged in spiritual practices that are contrary to the Christian faith and unwilling to respect the Christ-centered nature of this home
Wish to bring adult male companions into the home
Are unwilling to follow house guidelines, respect shared responsibilities, or engage with the support offered here
A Note on Admission
Admission decisions will be made prayerfully, with discernment, and may require an interview and references.
Residency is a privilege extended with care — and may be reconsidered if guidelines are not followed or if the home is no longer the right fit.
We want every woman who comes here to truly be helped. If Azaliya's Home is not the right fit, we will do our best to point you toward resources that are.
