Residency Guidelines
A Home Built on Safety & Purpose
Our guidelines exist to protect every woman and child in our care, and to ensure this remains a space where real freedom is possible. Admission decisions are made prayerfully and with discernment.
Who We Welcome
Women escaping abusive relationships who need a safe place to stay with their children
Women who are genuinely seeking safety, stability, and a new direction
Mothers with dependent children (priority given to those with younger children)
Women willing to participate in Bible study, prayer, and faith-based encouragement
Women willing to follow house guidelines and engage with the support offered here
Women taking active steps toward employment and stability after the first month
Women willing to contribute toward household needs when financially able
For the Safety of All
Because Azaliya's Home is a small home environment — not a clinical facility — we are not equipped to safely support women who:
Are currently using or dependent on drugs or alcohol, or who require medical detox or substance abuse treatment
Have severe behavioral or mental health needs that require clinical or professional care beyond the scope of a small home
Are involved in active criminal activity, or whose circumstances would put other residents at risk
Are engaged in spiritual practices contrary to the Christian faith and unwilling to respect the Christ-centered nature of this home
Wish to bring adult male companions into the home
Are unwilling to follow house guidelines, respect shared responsibilities, or engage with the support offered here
Residency at Azaliya's Home is a privilege extended with care, not a right. Because safety, trust, and structure are essential in a shared home, residency may be reconsidered or ended if guidelines are not followed, or if the home is no longer the right fit. This home exists to protect women and children, support healing, and provide Christ-centered care in a safe and structured environment. Admission interviews and references may be required.
